Four-channel video, back-projected to screen assembled from wooden windowframe and parchment paper.
Stereo audio, routed to speaker array assembled from mason jars, wooden box, and audio exciters.
Sound assembled from field recordings taken onsite, including air and vehicle traffic, the crackle of overhead high-tension transmission wires, and the rattling of bits of flowerpot, wood, and gravel against a trailhead fence.
Four animations derived from views of sunset at Whitney Canyon, Newhall, CA, in clear conditions, July 2020, and choked by wildfire smoke, September 2020.
